  1. ASBESTOS is a brief article from the U.S. Department of Labor (Fact
  2. Sheet No. OSHA 92-06, dated Feb. 18, 1992) entitled "Better Protection
  3. Against Asbestos in the Workplace."  OSHA has issued revised
  4. regulations covering asbestos exposure in general industry and
  5. construction. Both standards set a maximum exposure limit and include
  6. provisions for engineering controls and respirators, protective
  7. clothing, exposure monitoring, hygiene facilities and practices,
  8. warning signs, labeling, recordkeeping, and medical exams.  Since an
  9. estimated 1.3 million workers receive significant exposure to
  10. asbestos through their jobs this is a very useful read.
